Agent permissions
Where to change permissions
Open Settings → Agent Permissions and choose an operating mode. The selected mode applies to agent actions in your workspace.
Ask
Ask is the most hands-on mode. Kashira asks for confirmation before file edits and commands, making it a good choice when you want to review each action as it happens.
Auto
Auto lets Kashira handle routine edits while still asking before actions that need extra care. It is a balanced choice for familiar projects and everyday feature work.
YOLO
YOLO gives the agent the most freedom to carry a task forward. Choose it only when you are comfortable reviewing the result afterward and the workspace is appropriate for autonomous work.
Use Ask or Auto for unfamiliar repositories, sensitive environments, or tasks with a larger blast radius.
Budget Mode
Turn on Budget Mode when you want a more focused cloud-agent session. It is useful for keeping exploration deliberate on larger projects or when you want the agent to work with a tighter context budget.
Cloud Context Budget
Use Cloud Context Budget to choose how much project and conversation context Kashira can use for cloud tasks. A larger budget gives the agent more room for a complex task; a smaller budget is useful when you want a more compact, focused session.
Use a larger context budget for multi-file work, unfamiliar codebases, and longer investigations. Use a smaller one for focused edits and short tasks.
File modification
Turn File Modification on to let the agent request creating and editing files in the active project. Turn it off when you want the agent to inspect and advise without changing code.
Terminal execution
Turn Terminal Execution on to let the agent request commands such as tests, builds, package scripts, and project checks. Turn it off when you want to run every command yourself.
File deletion
Turn File Deletion on only when a task may need to remove a workspace file or folder. Keep it off for an extra safeguard when you are working in an important or unfamiliar project.
