Getting oriented

Quickstart

Go from installation to a verified code change in a few minutes.

Install Kashira

Download the build for your operating system, launch Kashira, and sign in or continue locally. Signing in unlocks managed cloud models and account-backed credits.

Supported platforms

Kashira is designed for macOS and Windows. Platform-specific installation notes will appear on the download page.

Open a project

Choose Open folder on the welcome screen and select a repository. Kashira keeps your recent projects available so you can return to work quickly.

    Select the root folder that contains your project.

    Allow access

    Approve the operating system file-access prompt when shown.

    Get oriented

    Use Explorer and Search to move through the project while Kashira prepares its workspace view.

Run your first task

Open Dev Chat, describe a small change, and ask the agent to verify it. You can inspect its thoughts summary, tool calls, file diffs, and terminal results as the task progresses.

Inspect the existing design patterns first, then implement and run the relevant checks.

Review the result

Open the changed files from the activity log or Git panel. Review added and removed lines, then keep, refine, or revert the change using your normal workflow.
