Kashira chooses the right workspace capability as it works: it can explore the project, inspect files, make a change, run a command, check Git, or keep a longer task in the background. Every action is visible in the task history.
File operation tools
Use file operations when the task is ready to change code. Kashira can read a file, create a new file, update a focused piece of text, replace a selected line range, or remove a file when you explicitly ask for it.

Explore the workspace
Ask Kashira to search files, search the workspace, analyze a file, inspect the workspace map, or explore project memory. These tools are useful at the beginning of a task when you need to find the right place to work or recover a previous project decision.
Create a plan
For a feature, refactor, or unfamiliar project, ask Kashira to create a plan first. A plan gives you a clear path to review before the task begins changing files.
Terminal tools
Kashira can run a command, read its output, and help you act on the result. Use terminal work for tests, builds, package scripts, project setup, and other tasks that are best verified by the project itself.
Web search
When a task needs current public information, Kashira can search the web and bring relevant sources into the conversation. Ask it to check documentation, verify a changing detail, or research an integration before you make a decision.
Background tasks
Move a longer command to Background Tasks when it does not need your attention right away. Continue editing or chatting while it runs, then open the result when Kashira notifies you that it is complete.
Git tools
Kashira can check Git status and use Source Control to help you review, stage, commit, pull, push, work with branches, and resolve conflicts. Use these tools to keep agent changes aligned with your normal Git workflow.
When a tool needs attention
Kashira explains what needs to be adjusted and keeps the surrounding task context available. You can ask it to check the latest project state and continue from there.
